Subaru Loves Pets: Join Us to Make a Dog's Day in October!

  


At Baldwin Subaru, our commitment to pets and their well-being extends beyond just selling cars. We firmly believe that all pets, regardless of their circumstances, deserve a loving and caring home. Unfortunately, the statistics are sobering, with the ASPCA® reporting that nearly 6.3 million companion animals find themselves in shelters nationwide every year, many of whom endure long days without the warmth of a family or a place to call home.
 
That's why we are excited to announce our participation in Subaru Loves Pets® month this October. This initiative aligns perfectly with Subaru's long-standing dedication to supporting shelter dogs, particularly those we affectionately refer to as the "Underdogs." Throughout the month of October, for every pet adopted, we pledge to donate $100 to the St. Tammany Department of Animal Services. This commitment extends a lifeline to these animals and helps ensure they have a chance at a brighter future.

One of the highlights of this month is the celebration of the 5th annual National Make A Dog's Day on October 22nd. This special day was created by Subaru to inspire all dog lovers to go the extra mile for their furry companions. This year, we encourage people not only to cherish their own pets but also to consider opening their hearts and homes to an Underdog. 

Baldwin Subaru is excited to invite you to our mega pet adoption event at our dealership on Saturday, October 21st, 2023 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. We will have over 30 dogs available for adoption with waved adoption fees from St. Tammany Department of Animal Services. Not to mention music, snowballs, food, and pup cup station! Each dog adopted from the event will go home with a Pet Parent box from BarkBox and more swag from Baldwin Subaru. Welcoming an Underdog into your life can be a transformative and profoundly rewarding experience, not only for the pet but also for the family that offers them love and care.

We firmly believe that pets make the world a better place. Subaru and its dedicated retailers are proud to play a part in making the world a better place for them. Over the years, we have collectively donated more than $51 million to both national and local organizations, supporting critical initiatives such as adoption programs, rescue missions, animal transport, and healthcare services for animals in need. This collaborative effort has touched the lives of over 420,000 animals, bringing them closer to the loving homes they deserve.
