Subaru Loves to Care: 10 Years of Comfort, Hope, and Community at Baldwin Subaru

 

 

For the tenth year in a row, Baldwin Subaru is proud to participate in Subaru Loves to Care, a nationwide initiative that brings comfort, support, and hope to cancer patients across the country. On June 24, 2025, our team will deliver warm blankets and handwritten messages of encouragement to patients at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in Covington, LA—a partnership that has become one of the most meaningful parts of our year.

 

This annual event is part of a larger effort by Subaru of America and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society® (LLS), who this year celebrate a decade of collaboration. Together with over 630 participating Subaru retailers nationwide, Subaru has helped nearly 500,000 cancer patients and their families since the program began.

 

Why Blankets Matter 

Cancer treatment is not just physically exhausting—it can also be emotionally isolating. The warmth of a blanket and the sincerity of a handwritten note may seem like small gestures, but they offer a powerful reminder that patients are not alone. Through Subaru Loves to Care, these simple gifts have become symbols of hope and human connection.

At Baldwin Subaru, our team personally delivers each blanket and message to Mary Bird Perkins. We meet patients, hear their stories, and let them know their community stands beside them. For us, it's not just about delivering donations—it's about delivering love.

 

A National Effort, A Local Impact

This year, Subaru of America will match donations made through LLS.org during the Subaru Loves to Care campaign (June 1–30) up to $100,000. These funds support the Urgent Need Pediatric, Adolescent and Young Adult Fund, helping families cover o supporting Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, a trusted source of care and compassion in our community. Over the past decade, we’ve proudly stood beside their dedicated staff to serve hundreds of pativital non-medical expenses like groceries, transportation, and housing during treatment.

Locally, Baldwin Subaru remains committed tents in need.
